Honoring Aubrey’s Legacy on Capitol Hill 💜

U.S. Capitol building under blue sky

This week, Aubrey’s Love Foundation had the honor of traveling to Washington, D.C. to attend the MADD National Convention and participate in Capitol Hill Day — a powerful gathering of families, advocates, and lawmakers united by one goal: to end drunk driving.

For us, this mission is deeply personal. We shared the story of our daughter, Elizabeth Aubrey Tucker, whose life was tragically taken by a drunk driver. Standing in the halls of Congress, telling Aubrey’s story, and advocating for change was emotional — but also empowering.

During our visit, we met with several passionate leaders, including Senator Katie Britt and Congressman Dale Strong (AL-5), to advocate for the HALT Drunk Driving Law. This legislation would require drunk driving prevention technology in all new vehicles — a lifesaving step that could prevent countless tragedies in the future.

We are incredibly grateful to MADD for giving us a voice at the table and to Frank Harris for his kindness and support as he helped coordinate our meetings on the Hill.

Every conversation, every handshake, and every shared story was for Aubrey — and for all the lives we hope to protect. 💜

Together, we can build a safer future and ensure that no other family has to endure this heartbreak.
