Moments That Matter Most

I am incredibly grateful to Huntsville City Lifestyle for giving our family the opportunity to share Aubrey’s story and the heart behind Aubrey’s Love Foundation.

There are some stories you never imagine having to tell. Losing our daughter Aubrey changed our lives forever. There will always be a space in our family that belongs only to her, and there are still days when the weight of missing her feels impossible to put into words.

But Aubrey’s story is so much more than the way we lost her.

She was kind. She loved people. She served others. She had a way of bringing light into the lives of those around her, and that is the part of her story we are determined to keep sharing.

Out of unimaginable loss, Aubrey’s Love Foundation was created as a way to continue the love she gave so freely. Through scholarships, school supplies, support for students and families, and acts of kindness throughout our community, we are able to see pieces of Aubrey’s heart continue to touch others.

Every scholarship awarded, every pair of shoes given to a child, every school we are able to support, and every act of kindness done in her memory reminds us that love does not end when someone leaves this earth.

It changes.

It becomes legacy.

Having our story featured in Huntsville City Lifestyle is incredibly special to our family. I hope that when people read it, they not only learn about our loss, but more importantly, they learn about Aubrey — who she was, how deeply she was loved, and how her life continues to make a difference.

If our story reaches another grieving parent, encourages someone walking through a difficult season, or inspires even one person to show kindness to someone who needs it, then Aubrey’s light continues to shine.

We miss her every single day.

And we will continue saying her name, telling her story, and spreading light through love in her memory.
