Moments That Matter Most

At Aubrey’s Love Foundation, one of the most meaningful ways we honor Aubrey’s memory is through our Light of Love Award—a recognition created to celebrate students and educators who lead with kindness, compassion, and heart. These are individuals who may not seek recognition, but whose everyday actions make a lasting impact on those around them.

This month, we had the honor of recognizing two incredible individuals at West Limestone High School.

Our student recipient, Zoey Brooks, was nominated for the way she makes others feel seen, valued, and supported—especially in moments when someone may feel alone or overlooked. Her kindness is genuine and consistent, and the impact she has on her peers is both meaningful and lasting.

Our staff recipient, Debbie Anderson, was recognized for her unwavering compassion and the way she shows up each day to support both students and her colleagues. Her presence brings encouragement, strength, and care into the school environment, and her influence reaches far beyond the classroom.

Reading through the nominations is always a powerful reminder that kindness truly matters. The stories shared reflect the quiet, everyday moments that often go unseen—but make all the difference in someone’s life.

Through initiatives like the Light of Love Award, Aubrey’s Love Foundation remains committed to uplifting others and continuing to spread light through love in Aubrey’s memory. We are so proud to recognize Zoey and Debbie and the difference they are making in their community.
